The Elgin Avenue 2 Year Blogger-versary!
Dear Elgin Avenue readers,
A very Happy Tuesday and 2013 to you all!
Today is a very exciting, proud and humbling day for me as The Elgin Avenue is turning 2!
Woohoo!

It is a rather lovely thing having The Elgin Avenue's blogger-versary nestling along side New Year; it means that the point at which I reflect on the goings-on of the year before sit side to side with everything to do with this here blog.
I have to say that 2012 has been pretty darn cool!
In celebration of TEA's blogging Birthday I donned my fancy pants and gave some thought to all of the wonderful things that happened in the past 12 months.
The Outfit
I found these trousers in the Marks & Spencer sale and fell in L-O-V-E with them. So much so that I had to have one of the store mannequins dismantled so I could have the size I needed. The last pair may I add! The print is so fantastic I would rather like to decorate my whole flat in it.
No really.
When the weather warms up I intend to remove my bottom-layer jumper and simply wear with the structured tee. Perfect for events and meetings.
Oh, I do love me a trophy trouser.
The Memories
This award was a turning point in the life of T.E.A and I can't thank any of you who voted and supported me enough for everything that has come from this amazing accolade, not only was I able to blog for Marie Claire online for 6 months (dream come true!!!) but it also meant that doors were opened and I got to meet people I may have never been able to meet otherwise. Like Nanette Lepore (above.)!
Meeting Carrie from WishWishWish and Reem from FiveFiveFabulous - these girls are super bloggers with a capital S! And we all had a helluva a lot of fun at Vogue's fashion night out at the Mulberry party. What an evening!
Interviewing Ellie Goulding for 730 blog, Norway. Ah-mazing! She was so so lovely and hopefully didn't notice that I was practically shaking with nerves - first celeb interview and all.
Meeting Christopher Bailer and thanking him about 20 times for the inspiring speech he delivered at this year's Vogue Festival. A truly lovely man.
Speaking of the Vogue Festival...meeting Alexandra Shulman, editor in chief of Vogue UK, at her debut book launch. A complete 'pinch me' moment.
The Issa Catwalk at LFW S/S'13. Beeeauuutiful!
All of the incredible giveaways The Elgin Avenue has been apart of in 2012 including one with Becksondergaard.
Meeting my style crush Olivia Palermo and practically going weak at the knees from being up close and in conversation with her. Yes she is really that pretty and that put together. Sigh.
Working with the incredible team of Styled To Rock. My first ever TV show. What an amazing opportunity and fantastic team to work with. An experience I will never forget, and friends I hope to keep for a long long time.
Chatting with Savannah Miller at her new fashion line launch. So much fun and a brilliant opportunity to pick the brains of one of our home-grown designer talents.
The incredible European adventure I took with my beau Oli this Summer, truly magical.
These girls! These girls, Kate, Ella, Naomi, Abi, Alex and Danielle are all pretty darn ACE and took me under their blogging wings in 2012. Lets not forget that Abi launched The Apartment in 2012 too. Definitely one to watch out for.
The girls above, along with all of the other fantastic bloggeristas I have met this year, have inspired me to start The Elgin Avenue's very own 'Blogger Babes' list. Here you will find all of the blogs I check in with frequently. No doubt this list will grow constantly. If you have any you think I should check out, or have a blog of your own which you'd like to share - give me a shout!

Thank you so much to every one who made 2012 such a special year. My family, my boyfriend, my friends, my colleagues and you, my incredible readers, are the true route of my inspiration and I am so so grateful to the support you have given me in the past 24 months. You guys rock!
