Look Of The Day: Snow Leopard & Red Legs!

I have been wanting to share this snow-leopard print number with you for quite some time. Along with an excited stampede of bloggers, I was lucky enough to attend Next's fashion lock-in a little earlier this Winter. Having begun the evening with some rather delectable cocktails near London's Marble Arch, the blogging troops were marched along to the Next store closest to Bond St. tube for an out-of-hours peruse around Next's fab A/W collection. What ensued was a lot of rummaging around the clothes, accessories and goodies in store, with each blogger tagging the items they liked best with their own special hang tags. Needless to say this crombie-fit coat was top of my list. I love that it is a print, yet the dove grey colour makes it easy to wear and match (or mis-match in my case!). Perhaps not surprisingly it seems that this particular style is sold out online, however it is worth checking out your local store. I also love this berry-hued number (below) which is the same fit - best of all Next's coats come at a really reasonable price point - £65 for this one!

At the Next Fashion Lock-In Event
On this particular day the Sun was shining in London after a bout of torrential down pour. Having been zipped inside my parka for almost an entire week, I was over the moon to finally be able to whip out an outfit which didn't come with a pre-requisite of 'must survive storms'. These red jeans have been sat gathering figurative dust (literal would be gross!) for months now. Coloured jeans can feel like a clothing item reserved only for Summer, however if, like me, you are feeling unsure if they can work for Winter I would urge you to try a muted knit in grey, navy or beige - the perfect transitional accompaniment.
Indigo is great and all but sometimes it's good to mix it up!
So what's your opinion on coloured denim for Winter?

looove the colour for winter - after days of rain it's the best way to brighten up streets and spirits! love the coat - was so sad I was in London a day too late for the Next lock-in :(
