Next's UK/Aussie Blogger Style-off! x
Dear Elgin Avenue readers,
A very Happy Sunday to you all! My how these weekends seem to be rolling on round at the moment! Given the demands of Fash Pack School, moments of R&R have been few and far between of late, yesterday therefore I was absolutely delighted to be able to indulge in a bit of good old fashioned dress up for Next's UK Blogger challenge!!
Next is launching Down Under this year and to mark the expansion to Aussie shores they have asked 10 gorgeous Aussie Blog Babes and 10 Brit Chicks to style up a Next item in a bid to be crowned most stylish nation!!
As you can imagine my inner patriot rose to the surface and I couldn't wait to get to grips with a top-to-toe look for the UK!

I used to be a complete dress devotee, however of late I have developed quite a penchant for 70's-esque trousers, these fab palazzo pants ticked all the right boxes for a vintage silhouette in a fab Spring/Summer colour. When teamed with a sheer blouse, jacket and hat these cobalt beauties felt suitably City-ish however come the Summer months I'll turn up the hems, slip on some metallic sandals and pair with my finest jersey. Mixing patterns is a huge trend for S/S 12 and so this gorgeous silky blazer from Zara provided the perfect counterpart to the floral trousers, a cream wide-brimmed trilby borrowed from my great friend Hollie topped off the look with the addition of a buttery coral red handbag and matching lipstick.
Top-to-toe look sorted lets hope that the UK gals can give those Aussie babes a serious run for their style money!! The winning looks for each nation will be announced on March 8th at which point one chosen UK and Oz blogger will style up a look completely from Next and go head-to-head!
