My sincerest apologies for the lapse in time, Fash Pack School studies is giving me a run for my money and keeping me all to itself...don't they know sharing is caring?!

'Post'card: Monica and Menorca x
Dear Elgin Avenue readers,
A very happy Sunday to you all! I have to admit to feeling a little spoilt in the past seven days indulged as I have been on a beautiful mini break with my beloved beau.
Having become a little weathered following a lively beginning to the year I could not have been more grateful for some truly indulgent Rn'R on the beautiful island of Menorca. Boasting a gorgeous island-scape of arable land, turquoise coves and antiquated butter-hued buildings, Menorca is the smallest of three balearic islands nestled against Ibiza and Majorca.
Island amblings along the dusty-colored paves of the island's largest cities, Ciutadella and Mahon, lazy lunches, naps and beach-side magazine snooping made up a whole host of components for a tremendous trip.

Headed off on a brief jaunt as we were, my compact packing skills were called upon in abundance as I whittled down my wardrobe to a very BA-cabin-crew-esque carry on. With a suitcase given the super-skinny treatment I was sure to pack light layers for easy 'de' and 're-robing', mix and match tops, bottoms and bikinis and a small treasury of accessories to help everything along the way. Whittling wardrobes down is never an easy task however it is indeed immensely refreshing to limit choices to a select few leaving that bit extra time for exploring cities and cafes alike!

Off on Hols x
Dear Elgin Avenue readers,
A very happy Sunday to you all! With all the super-long weekends and languid bank holidays knocking around, the past few weeks seems to have taken on the role of one big rolling fiesta, what a lovely phenomenon to behold! Many a person I pass appear to have an extra spring in their step and twinkle in their eye - all the better for perking up the early summer!
Despite all the elongated holidays I myself am feeling a little weary, having worn myself ragged amongst a whole host of working roles over the Fash Pack holidays, as such I am delighted to be embarking on a mini-break to (hopefully!) sunny shores with Mr.G. in the wee hours of tomorrow morning.
Travelling attire can be a tricky conundrum, however given the beautiful weather we've been experiencing of late, all if made much easier with fewer layers; a very reasonable carry-on case (I was seriously proud at my editing!) trench coat, jeans and easy T make for a very comfortable and simple-chic travel combination.

For now, double/triple checking the MB to-pack-and-go list is on the cards, then pizza with Mr.G and onto an early shut-eye for the 3a.m. wake up call!
